Call to Order: 6:34 p.m.

Approval of Agenda: As there were only three voting members in attendance, there was not enough members to constitute a quorum. Without a quorum, no motions can be made and therefore, no motion was made to approve the agenda.

4. Chair’s Report: No report.
5. Student Council Report: No report.
6. Principal’s Report: Jackie reported on Friends for Life presentation, the pancake breakfast scheduled for December 9, 2015, Power Mechanics raffle and upcoming events. Report attached.
7. Treasurer’s Report: No report.
8. Correspondence:
- Letter from Manitoba Association of Parent Councils (MAPC).

Business Arising from Minutes
- Review Constitution – Carolyn advised that the review
is ongoing and will be brought back to the meeting in January.
- Teacher Appreciation Lunch – Thursday, February 11,
2016
- Bike – Shop students will undertake this project.
Should be complete once the ground thaws.
- Items to be brought forward : Award of Excellence in
Teaching (January meeting)

- DPAC Meeting – Patricia had advised she would
be attending. Report will follow at next meeting.

Principal’s Report November 2015
1. Friends for Life presentation on November 18, 2015, had a successful student body turn out. Thank you to our parent community for not excusing their children from this important assembly.
2. Pancake Breakfast is scheduled from December 9, 2015, all proceeds go to SCI Christmas Hampers to support families in our community.
3. Power Mechanics students have built a utility trailer that will be raffled off, with all proceeds going to the Springfield Food Bank.
4. December 11, 2015 SCI Teacher Advisors will be leading their groups in the first discussion on “Who are we …, what do we believe …,” Defining our values and identity.
5. Upcoming Events
- December 2, 2015 – Winter Band Concert
- December 10, 2015 – Voluntary Withdrawal date for Semester 1
- December 18, 2015 – Early dismissal 2:30pm – Last day of classes
- January 4, 2016 – Classes resume
