SCI Parent Advisory Council for School Leadership

1.      Call to Order at 6:40 p.m. 

2.      Approval of Agenda: Motion (1) by Jodi, 2^nd Theresa. Carried. 

3.      Approval of Minutes: April 22, 2013 Motion (2) by Theresa, 2^nd Jodi. Carried 

4.      Chair’s Report: There was a discussion at the last meeting how often the ACSL should meet each year. Ross felt it was important to continue monthly meetings to ensure regular communication between the ACSL and administration. Bill 18 is going to the second reading. 

5.      Principal’s Report: – Report given by Jackie Julien on timetabling process, staffing for next year, band and Quebec trips, grad preparations and warm weather dress code. 

6.      Treasurer’s Report: No report. Balance in bank account is $282.14. 

7.      Student Council’s Report: Ross provided the report. The Student Council did their last event of the year handing out freezies to the students and staff at SCI. They are looking at ways to generate more involvement in student council. 

8.      Correspondence: Motion (3) to receive and file correspondence from SPPA acknowledging receipt of donation by Jodi, 2^nd Theresa. Carried. 

9.      Business arising from Minutes: 

·        SPPA – No report.  

10.   New Business:  

·       Constitution – There was a discussion regarding the constitution. No changes were suggested. 

11.   Date of AGM and Next Meeting: Monday, September 30, 2013 at 6:30 p.m., SCI Library.
